Great selection of baked goods when you walk in to this inviting space. The whole left wall has so many choices. In the front, you'll see beautiful cakes for special occasions. Near the register, there's a basket of DELICIOUS bread too. The service is terrific, and recently they put a cute table and chairs out front. My favorite item is the spinach and feta- I heat it up in the microwave, and it's just buttery!!
Delicious cakes, pastries, breads and so much more! BUT PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring back your amazing breakfast sandwiches, tacos etc... I went this morning to get my usuals, the Chorizo Especial and The Chihuahuan and found out there is no more hot food. Waaaahhhhh!!!!! Those two were a weekly staple for me!!!!
You come for 1 thing and leave with many more. The menu is often updated and delicious new items keep coming. They have empanadas (with cheese and meat and some only veggies). The sweet Mexican bread (conchas) are my favorite.
The service is top notch the people who work there might be some of the nicest in the neighborhood and the gluten free breakfast taco with chorizo is made of dreams it's incredible. It's beautiful inside and the pastries are amazing and I like to show my kids different cultures and the Mexican pastries opportunities are beautiful unique and delicious.
Everything, including the service, is great! Cakes, donuts, empanadas, coffee, etc., are outstanding.
Pineapple Tres Leche slice cake- tasted so yummy. Though prices have increased; a slice of cake is $6 now. Also, got a few mini conchas from the side bakery display (tasted okay). There is a small seating area to enjoy a cup of coffee, maybe next time I'll try their coffee and get me another slice of cake. Overall a good neighborhood coffee shop
I highly recommend Mandato Bakery. Everything we had was fresh and so good. This has to be the best bakery around. We were both so impressed and can't wait to return. So many choices to choose from. They are so friendly as well. I just wish we didn't live so far away. We will be back that's for sure. Excellent.
So my first reaction when someone told me that this bakery makes really good tacos/todas I was like whatttttt????? Yes they do. I order here twice for lunch and let me tell you I think I might, maybe change my view how NYC does not have good Mexican food. I ordered tacos the first time and this time the big ass sandwich tortas. I ordered the pork belly and it was delicious!! So I definitely will order from them again !
The best breakfast tacos. Delicious tortilla, wonderful mushrooms and chorizo. This place also has several vegetarian options and a decent price point (3 standard tacos for $10, breakfast tacos for $6-$7). Amazing Bay Ridge Mexican bakery that does everything right. It's impossible to miss and worth a trip.
Taco Mandato-$5 Mini Concha $1 each Hazelnut iced coffee $2.50 Pineapple tres leche $4.00 The taco mandato is excellent. I will definitely be back for this. Pineapple tres leche is also very delicious. I would come back to this location for cakes and tacos.
